Many cars run lean and chip pistons because of a bad filter. Some cars burn up fuel pumps trying to force high pressures through a restrictive, partially clogged filter. Other high horsepower builds run out of fuel because the GM filter simply won't allow enough fuel through them to supply the high demands of big injectors.
In any case, if you have over 75k miles on your car it's a good idea to change the fuel filter. It's also a must if you plan on flowing a lot of fuel in your modified GP.
We've tested the flow on the GM filter, Wix filter, Fram, Pro-Tec, Napa, AZ filters, and a couple others. The GM filter flowed right in the middle of our group, the Fram a little better but in the end we had a Grand champion and now offer it to you as an upgrade to whatever you are currently running.
