ZZPerformance is proud to offer the first upgraded main stud kit for the LF3 and LF4 engine platforms. As we've continued to push these engines we, among others, have noted instability in the engine block at high power levels. Once above 600whp the chances of spinning or failure of a main bearing goes up exponentially and main studs are required. Our main stud kit ensures the main caps and bearing structure stay in place to stabilize the bottom end of these engines. Our studs increase tensile strength, yield strength, and reduce potential stretching over the stock bolts.
We offer our main stud kit in 2 different configurations; a standard and a race version. Our race version offers larger shanks on both the smaller M8 studs and larger M10 studs. M8 studs are 1.25mm thicker and M10 studs are .75mm thicker.
Torque specs to be used with included ARP assembly lube:
- Inner studs: 55lb/ft
- Outer studs: 30lb/ft
- Side bolts: 22lb/ft plus 60° (OEM, not included in our kit)
