While the LF4 is a fantastic engine platform, the intercooler system can be a bit of an Achilles heel that can rob you of power. Once you've made sure you have the intercooler system bled properly and the pump working, the next area to address is the factory heat exchangers. In typical GM fashion they used small/thin heat exchangers capped with plastic end tanks. Upgrading those heat exchangers greatly increases the coolant capacity, cooling capabilities, and can lead to more power over time.
Our ZZPerformance upgraded heat exchanger kit comes fully complete with a massively larger replacement center heat exchanger, larger side coolers, a full silicone line kit, and hardware. We include German style hose clamps that will not cut into the silicone, a horn relocation bracket, and a fill plug for the line that allows you to easily fill the system. Installation is straight forward; remove your bumper, remove your stock heat exchangers and lines, then install ours. Each cooler is direct bolt in and retains all factory mounting provisions and plastics.
