Our new ZZP race head studs for the LTG engine were specifically designed with a larger center shank to provide better longevity and the ability to make high horsepower more reliably. In our testing we noted that above 500whp the head will lift in some applications. Due to the length of the LTG head studs a larger center shank is needed to prevent stud stretch.
ZZP race head stud = 10.90mm
Original ZZP head stud = 10.24mm
This custom ZZP head stud kit is designed specifically to fit the 2.0L LTG engine found commonly in the ATS, Camaro, CTS, Regal, and Malibu among other models. You will not find this kit anywhere else as it was designed and manufactured exclusively for ZZPerformance!
All studs into the engine block before installing the nuts.
Torque the nuts to the following:
- 1st pass 25 ft/lbs
- 2nd pass 50 ft/lbs
- 3rd pass 90 ft/lbs
Torque sequence:
- 10 - 6 - 2 - 3 - 7
- 9 - 5 - 1 - 4 - 8
