Here's a chance to buy a unique product that was made in limited production. This kit includes a 3.7" stroke crankshaft with accompanying rods to turn your 3.8 Liter 3800 into nearly 4.2 liters of displacement. The kit requires machining and clearancing on your engine block. This must be performed by a competent machine shop.
We did not have issues here building one, but you'll want to vet your own shop.
Rods will need honed to size.
The block and oil windage tray need to have clearance ground on the pan rail, so the rod bolts don’t hit as the engine rotates. The counterweights on the crank machined to clear the bottom of the pistons/pins. We found the Silvolite 1745HC-020 pistons required the least amount of crank clearance grinding. OEM L36 pistons can be used, but will require more work. Plan on removing .020-040 off the block deck surface. Your machine shop can adjust this to achieve your desired compression ratio and/or cylinder quench. The amount removed will be dependent on your piston choice.
Rods 2,4 and 6 will require some clearance grinding to clear the camshaft.
Due to the complex nature of this stroker kit, we will not be offering machine work support or returns. Be sure to choose a shop that is competent and familiar with stroker kits before purchasing. This kit was made with a cast crankshaft and based on the non-supercharged pistons. We recommend an NA or M90 build to ensure longevity. You can add 6 degree intake & exhaust duration to camshaft grinds and maintain similar streetability to a stock displacement 3800.
