Silv-O-Lite hypereutectic pistons feature reinforced top lands and their proprietary process of diamond finished skirts. These aftermarket pistons are available for many applications from your light truck to your auto or import. Spend wisely and choose replacement pistons that will work hard for you--Silv-O-Lite hypereutectic pistons.
How to order your pistons:
Compression: You will select 9.4:1 or 8.5:1. Factory supercharged cars come with 8.5:1 and factory naturally aspirated cars come with 9.4:1. The pistons must match the rods that you are planning to run. 8.5:1 uses a L67 or L32 rod, and the 9.4:1 uses a L36 or L26 rod. The 3800 crank will work with either rod. NA cars planning on adding boost will most likely swap to the 8.5:1 pistons and L67/L32 rods, and most supercharged cars will swap to the 9.4:1 pistons and L36/L26 rods.
Bore: If your bores are in very good shape, you could avoid boring it and just honing it (for the new rings to seat). Now if you are going to bore, the block, then you would select the size overbore you want/need. Your engine shop will need the pistons to bore the block properly.
Rings are sold separately. Compatible rings can be found here.
Price is for a set of 6 pistons.
