We have two versions of the LTG pistons available to fit your needs.
JE Pistons for LTG 2.0
This is JE's off the shelf base LTG piston. This option is recommended for those looking for a economic option. These are setup for the stock bore block. We do NOT recommend sleeving the block. These pistons will work with the stock rods. They will work in all 2.0 liter LTG engines, this includes Regal, CTS, ATS, Camaro, and more.
Other Features:
- Tool steel nitrided rings with a napier second ring
- Upgraded forging capable of living at 1000+hp. The technology of this forging comes from existing Honda designs that make 1000+hp and survive!
- Offset pin .030" so you can run a tighter piston to wall clearance for a quieter piston.
- Made from 2618 forging.
"ZZP" JE Forged LTG Pistons: This is our specific "ZZP" version of the LTG piston. This option is recommended if you are looking for optimal performance in your vehicle. We sent in an LTG head to JE so they could digitize the piston top design. It is an asymmetric design, so the skirt has more surface area on the thrust side rather than on the non-thrust side. This will extend the life of the piston without adding extra weight. We also opted for an upgraded '93 series wrist pin and wire locks instead of C clips. This pistons has an increased compression height of .003". These also come with skirt coating for less resistance, resulting in more power and a longer life for the piston. These are set up of the stock bore block. We do NOT recommend sleeving the block. These pistons will work with the stock rods.
