Our ZZP aluminum control arms are designed to be a full replacement drop in set for your Ecotec car. If you have the stock stamped steel control arms (FE1/FE3) these aluminum versions are a great upgrade in handling and reliability. We worked to ensure our ball joints are held to a specific tolerance that previous aftermarket control arm companies could not be held too.
We offer our control arms in both the 19.5mm and 20.5mm ball joint size that is found across the Ecotec/Delta platform cars. The LSJ Cobalt SS, Saturn Ion Redline, and base model Ion/Cobalt/HHR's will use the 19.5mm ball joint. The turbo LNF Cobalt SS and LNF HHR SS are the only models that will use the 20.5mm ball joint. Other vendors list that their control arms fit the LNF models but we have found that they are incorrectly sold as the smaller ball joint size almost all of the time. 2025 Update: We now offer our ZZP aluminum control arms with two different styles of bushings. The stock option will come with a standard rubber control arm bushing. This is great for someone looking for an OEM replacement or an upgrade over FE1/FE3 stamped steel arms. The ZZP Spherical will come with a set of spherical control arm bushings pre-pressed into the arms, saving you the labor from having to do it yourself.
