This is our ZZPerformance Ecotec balance shaft delete kit for the 2.0L, 2.2L, and 2.4L engines. The balance shaft delete kit is a more affordable, but also more labor intensive solution for deleting the balance shafts over our ZZP neutral balance shafts. Deleting or switching to neutral balance shafts is highly recommended when revving your Ecotec past 7500rpm. To read more about engine balance shafts and deleting them, read our tech article here. 

Our kit comes with 2 oiling passage plugs as well as 2 billet shaft stubs. The oil passage plugs must be driven into the block internally, this can be done so using a slide hammer. The front shaft stubs will attach to the stock gears that are driven on the small chain for the water pump. This will maintain your OEM water pump setup and completely remove the extra weight of the balance shafts.
