Continuing on the success of our Ecotec timing chain guide we have decided to bring the same material and upgrades to platforms outside of the Ecotec. Our LTG upgraded tensioner and timing chain guides are made from a single machined piece of slick oil impregnated material and eliminates the stock two piece sliding design. We have paired both of these guides with our upgraded bolts made of an stronger alloy than stock to prevent shearing and last the lifetime of your engine.
While the stock timing system is adequate for stock power levels, you run into some issues as these cars age and you look to make more power and increase the rev limit. Our ZZP guides are made of a slicker material which results in less noise overall from the timing system, as well as less friction on the chain. We also increased thickness and ribbing in key areas to achieve an overall stiffer product that is less prone to any sort of deflection. Our material is much stronger than the stock plastic and will not get brittle over time; on our test applications you could still see the machining marks and no wear after 10k plus miles.
Made of the same extremely durable material as our ZZP supercharger couplers this guide is stronger than stock and more resistant to wear and breakage than the stock plastic material.
These guides replace OEM part numbers 12627112 and 12627111, which are circled in the exploded parts diagram.
Fits: 2013-2019 Cadillac ATS 2.0T, 2016-Present Chevrolet Camaro 2.0T, 2013-2022 Chevrolet Malibu 2.0T, 2014-2020 Buick Regal 2.0T, 2014-2019 Cadillac CTS 2.0T, and any other LTG 2.0T powered vehicle.
