This is our all new cold air intake system for the 2014-2017 Buick Regal with the LTG 2.0t engine. We developed this intake from the ground up on Turbo Tim's LTG Regal GS. When setting out to create this system we wanted to focus on 3 things; performance, turbo noise, and cosmetics.
This intake features a lightweight aluminum powder-coated airbox designed for form and function. The airbox houses the intake tube and our high flow ZZP air filter which is located directly above the stock fresh air feed from the front bumper. The intake tube is 3" mandrel bent aluminum bent and fabricated in house here at ZZPerformance. The larger than stock diameter tube ensure that the intake tract to the turbo is restriction free, both for airflow and turbo noise. These newer torque based ECM cars are picky, even changing the airbox can trigger random codes that our tune will fix. This intake also features a removable insert that keeps the MAF happy. If you are running a larger turbo you can knock out the insert for an immediate change in tubing diameter. Tuning tweaks will be needed if the insert is removed. Our LTG Regal tune can be found here. In our data collection with the ZZP intake we logged increased MAF signal Hz, indicating higher airflow than stock.
Our larger intake tube paired with the high flow filter will bring you all the turbo and bypass valve noises you are looking for. Fits both stock turbo and our Z54/Z57 turbos.
All necessary parts are provided for easy installation. CNC machined MAF sensor pad, PCV connection, silicone adapter, and stainless t-bolt clamps. Installs in stock location.
Warning: The factory intake is designed to be very quiet, the downside of that is that it is restrictive. Our intake is designed to flow a lot more than the factory airbox so if you do not want to hear your turbo whistle, do not purchase this airbox.
