The 5th Annual W-Body/3800 Meet

This past weekend ZZPerformance sponsored and attended the 5th annual (and very last!) W-body/3800 meet at the Gibraltar Trade Center in Mt. Clemens, MI. The 3800 community looked stronger than ever this year and we were excited to see so many killer builds with ZZP parts on them in one place. 

The day started early Saturday morning at ZZPerformance loading up Zoomer’s Grand Prix and packing up products before heading out with Steve’s ATS-V and our friend Adam’s Turbo Impala.

Once at the meet, ZZP’s time was spent listening to presentations by Dennis Manner (lead engineer of the 3800 engine) and John Manoogian II (Chief Designer of the Grand Prix exterior), watching the burnout competition, selling discounted parts, and checking out customer builds. 

The day ended with a heartfelt award ceremony and reminded us why we fell in love with the 3800 to begin with. Awards were given out in tons of categories, celebrating cars from Regals to Grand Prixs, drivers still with their learners permits and those well into their 80’s, best women owned cars, farthest distance traveled to the event, largest club in attendance, and so many more. 

We’re unbelievably thankful to be a part of this incredible community and plan to continue supporting it as much as physically possible!
